What we collect
Account: your business email address and, if you provide it, your name. We use passwordless sign-in links, so we never store a password. Company profiles: the business information you enter: name, website, location, size, industry, description, operating system, and the names of its two seat holders. Guide profiles: professional information: name, certification, location, regions served, bio, photo, and links. Reviews: the rating and text you write, published under your name, seat, and company. Nothing on RunsOn is anonymous. Invitations: the email addresses you enter to invite a colleague, client, or guide. Usage: standard server logs and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics about how pages are used.
What is public
Company profiles, guide profiles, and published reviews are public and indexable by search engines. Seat holders are shown by name and role. Email addresses are never displayed publicly, are never included in the public API, and are never sold or shared with third parties for their marketing.
How we use information
To operate the platform: sign you in, display profiles, deliver invitations you or a colleague requested, notify you about activity on your own profile, verify companies and certifications, prevent fraud, and improve the service. If you opt in as a company, to show certified guides that you are open to an introduction; your contact details are shared only after you accept a specific request.
We send transactional messages only: sign-in links, invitations, and notices about your profile or seat. Invitations to people who are not yet members are sent once, in the requesting person's name, with their email as the reply address, and include a clear way to decline. Members consent to email from RunsOn about the platform when they create an account, claim a profile, or accept an invitation (see the Terms). Every non-essential message carries an unsubscribe link. We do not email people who have not joined except for the one-time invitations described above. We comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Profiles created from public information
Some guide profiles are created from professional information that is publicly available, such as an official certification directory, or from a client company naming its guide. These show only public professional facts until claimed. If a profile is about you and you want it corrected, claim it or use the request form. A profile with no published reviews is removed on request within 15 business days. A profile with verified client reviews stays listed; see the Terms.
Storage and providers
RunsOn serves users across the United States and Canada. Data is stored with Supabase in Montreal, Canada (ca-central-1); your information may be processed in the United States by our providers. Email is delivered by Resend. The site is hosted by Vercel. Each provider processes data only to provide its service to us.
Retention
We keep account and profile data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Invitation tokens expire after 30 days. You can request deletion of your account and personal information at any time.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your personal information, withdraw consent, opt out of any sale or sharing (we do neither), and ask what we hold about you. Write to hello@runson.co or use the request form. We honor the rights granted by U.S. state privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act, Canada's PIPEDA and provincial law, and comparable laws elsewhere. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
